Wayne Cornelius Rapp, age 79, departed this life on Thursday, February 19, 2026, following ongoing cardiac complications. He was a man of quiet strength and enduring love whose steady presence and generous spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, James E. Throughout his life, Mr. Rapp exemplified unwavering devotion to his family, his community, and the values he believed mattered most. His steadfast commitment to Jane remained a defining constant, a testament to a love built on faithfulness, partnership, and deep respect. As a father and grandfather, he offered gentle guidance, steady encouragement, and a quiet wisdom that shaped the lives of those closest to him.
Wayne’s care extended far beyond his home, touching the broader Hanover community through his membership with the West Hanover Volunteer Rescue Squad, his lifelong membership with the Ashland Volunteer Rescue Squad, and his dedicated work with both local and state rescue organizations. His service was not for recognition, but from a sincere desire to help others in their moments of greatest need.
