VFRS-PSC301 Foundations of Chaplaincy
Lead Instructor: Robin BeMiller serves as a Stafford County First Responder Chaplain and member of the Fire/Rescue Peer Support Team, offering trauma-informed spiritual care and resilience support to public safety professionals. Endorsed by the United Methodist Church, Robin brings extensive crisis-response training to support the wellbeing of responders and their families.
This introductory day explores the essential role of chaplains within first responder culture. Participants will learn the foundations of ethical practice, healthy boundaries, confidentiality, and gaining trust with police, fire, EMS, and dispatch personnel. Ideal for new chaplains, peer supporters, or responders curious about the chaplaincy role. Can be taken as a stand-alone session.
