VFRS-T103 Advanced Vertical Rescue - 3 Day Event
Lead Instructor: Jimmy Rice – Technical Rescue Instructor and Rope Rescue Program Lead with the VAFR.
Advanced rope rescue course focusing on highlines, haul/lower systems, tensioned systems, and complex rescues.
PPE Requirements: Full rope‑rescue PPE: full‑finger leather gloves, ANSI Z89.1 helmet with chin strap, hard‑sole boots, long pants, and short‑ or long‑sleeve shirt.
Prerequisites: Basic & Light Duty Rescue Awareness and Vertical Rescue – High Angle Operations within the last 5 years; skills pretest.
