VFRS-T101 Basic and Light Rescue Awareness - 3 Day Event
Lead Instructor: Jimmy Rice – Technical Rescue Instructor and Rope Rescue Program Lead with the VAFR.
PPE Requirements: Full rope‑rescue PPE: full‑finger leather gloves, ANSI Z89.1 helmet with chin strap, hard‑sole boots, long pants, and short‑ or long‑sleeve shirt.
Entry-level rope rescue course covering low-angle systems, ladder use, rope handling, and safety-based rescue techniques.
