There is a wide variety of pediatric trauma resources across the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is important for EMS providers to make decisions for their pediatric trauma patient. Often the critical pediatric trauma patient is the “easiest” decision. What about the less obvious injuries? What can the local hospital handle? What about the family of six from out of town? AND the next unit is 30 minutes away. This course presents case studies of challenging pediatric trauma patients and provides tools to increase provider confidence in pediatric trauma decision-making.
Prerequisites: Age: 16+. Participants must hold an active Virginia Office of EMS (OEMS) certification
